A Sunrise

Hello Beautiful friends and family :)
First of all, the reason that I have created this blog is because I will be in Colorado working until August 6th, and it will be my way of updating you on what is going on and what the Lord is doing; and.. I just love to write, it helps me reflect the adventures our God has led me in.
Second of all, I think it is kinda neat that I have people such as you in my life that care to look in on me and read this. Thank you so much! May it be worth your while. :)
And.. third of all.. Ephesians 3:17-19 "Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. The you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." .....the Love of Christ will sustain.

What camp you might(/might not) ask?.. Well it is called Adventure Experiences Base Camp of the Rockies.. (AE) The website.. http://www.aeibasecamp.com/
Check it out if you want! I will be on the guide staff and lead different groups that come through on unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experiences or activities such as backpacking, day hikes, rock-climbing, challenge courses, etc..
Each day will be a new mission in pursuit of God's glory. So excited!!!
Currently praying for:
-The Lord at work in all counselors/directors/cooks/everyone else at camp
-Each camper who will experience some sweet time at AE
-That I would walk in faith daily and strive not to depend on Kelley Ligon's guidance as I wake each morning- that the Lord would be the true guide in my life.
-For friends and family on their own adventures this summer... (Matthew 28:19 oh yeah!)
..Do you pray? If yes, then would you join me in praying? If no.. then I do highly suggest it. :) Jesus Christ is so good. Seriously. He has shown Himself continually in my life.. if you want to talk about it.. feel free to email me- kligon@live.com

I am leaving a week from today, which is also my birthday! Wooowhoo, I love to spend birthdays driving 16 hours and 50 minutes. haha..
Anyways.. I have no idea if I will be able to update this regularly. I know that we do not get internet or phone service at base camp.. but I am going to write things in a journal as I experience it, and hopefully once a week or once every other week I can get into town and rewrite it for you. We shall see?
Two of my extremely treasured friends left to work at a camp this morning.. and just the thought of what the Lord is going to do in and through them is so exciting. It is so real, people are working for the Lord throughout the world.. how BEAUTIFUL are their feet. As I said goodbye to them, the idea that I will be leaving in one week really hit me. I do not know what these next few months are fully going to look like, but I do know that our Savior has a reason for bringing me there.. and He will work. He will work in all of those who call on His name.
May we, as believers rejoice in His name in times of happiness and in times of troubles. The Lord never changes.

One more thing... :)
The reason this blog is titled "A Sunrise" definitely not because the sun is rising right now.. it is 4 in the afternoon. But because this stage in my life is a big and beautiful sunrise for me; full of new things. I anticipate much growth before it's setting.

Love you guys so stinkin much!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
