"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

Memories!

memory |ˈmem(ə)rē|:
the mind regarded as a store of things remembered

Tori and Christina:
Best friends- forever sisters, we have been on so many crazy adventures together. This picture is from after our Sophomore year in highschool- at youth camp in Colorado. What the Lord has done in my life through yall has taught me so so much. Walking through life with yall has been one of the biggest blessings I have ever experienced! The memory captured in this picture is so dear to my heart! LOVE yall

Callie:
My beautiful, wonderful, most bestest cat in the world. I still have her today and am hoping that she will live forever.
:)

Trevor:
Your graduation in 2008! Woah, feels like just yesterday! You have been my best friend since I was born, and I cried on this night when you left living at home..! Good thing college wasn't too far away. ;) However, it has now almost been four years and we are still so close. I love this and I love you!

Nandi Hills, Kenya:
Memory I will always hold, and God willing get to experience again!
This top picture is of a brother and sister, the sister is so beautiful. She carried that little boy on her back everywhere. So young, but yet she is so strong. As this picture brings me so much joy!!!
Bottom picture was taken for Trevor, we are representing the HORNS for him, at his request. (Don't hate me Ags..) The lady on the right holding the little girl is Adaline, she brought so much Spirit to the room wherever she was. She had one of the biggest most joyful smiles I have ever seen. She used he God-given beautiful voice to bless the church and the kids! Adaline passed away three months after I returned home from Kenya, while this is so hard, we can so confidently rejoice that she is singing those praises next to our Father in Heaven now! I wish I could relive this moment right this second, but so thankful for this memory.

Memaw and Papa:
If I could only express what emotions this picture brings me.
Memaw, I miss you so so so much. You have taught and are still teaching me how to live for our Saviour daily, though now it is through memories. I often find myself talking to you in my head. I cannot sit with you and talk like we used to, but the impact you left on my life will forever be so real. Your beauty as a Lady of our Lord shined so bright to all around you, I will strive to carry your legacy.
Papa, you are so strong. Inside and out, I love you so much and wish I could give you hugs every day. I love your cowboy hats and boots and wish I was still 10 so I could sit in your lap and listen to more "Red-Eyed-Dragon" stories. Keep on going strong. Never forget our Father loves you so so so very much. I love you.

Chet's Room:
Hahah, mom did such a great job of painting you.. sad to see you go last year. My little brother is growing up! Ekkk! I remember when he got his first bath in our laundry room sink after he was born.. and now he is 12? Whattt? Praying for you Chetters, I love you.

Mom and Mimi:
Incredible women who I admire so much. This picture just radiates of your beauty. Thanks for being by my side for so many years. I look forward to continue growing as a woman under yall. Thanks for your wisdom and laughs. Yall each have two husbands who I know are SO blessed by you.
Mimi, on this cruise I remember thinking that you are the most beautiful grandmother in the world. I am so glad that you and Papa now live in Belton and that the Lord is working deep within your hearts. You are Loved! I can't wait to watch Sound of Music of Christmas break with you!
Mommy, just look at this picture, do you see how completely beautiful you are? I do!
I look up to you more than you know. You have been so constant in my life and having your words of wisdom in my chaotic times teach me so much. You are hilarious. You care for us as a family so much and I am AMAZED by you. I can't wait to be in your presence over Thanksgiving break!!! Woohoo!

Oh Chetter:
I just love this picture :)

Camera Lense:
This is the moment when you stopped working. :(

Daddy:
This is the day that we decided to go look for places to climb in our back yard! ..haha, it was such a fun adventure! I love how you have brought me on so many crazy adventures in this life. From strawberry dates, to triathlons, to racing home starting at the Kimbroughs mail box, to so so much more, I have so many passions that I have because of you. Your Godly wisdom and faithful prayers and each day so encouraging. I love how your work is your mission field and so many people are impacted through you. You bless my life. Thanks for the life you and Mom lead.. And for challenging me, disciplining me and helping me grow as a woman of God. I love you.

 Blessings:
I love yalll friends! This picture is at Passion last year, where God moved big in hearts! The car ride to passion began my obsession of Lecrae, and then he showed up at the conference! haha, I loved that!
How neat is it that we got to experience this together?! Our God is good, I am so thankful for each of yall and also for where God might lead us in these next years at A&M! What an encouragement it is to walk through life with girls striving to pursue the Lord with their whole hearts.

New Mexico:
First time to snow board! So fun! Maybe I will actually be able to get good one day.. :)
So this picture shows such a crazy happy memory.. while on family vacation.. my new friend Lauren showed up! Ah so neat! We go to church together in College Station and it was so surprising to see her there! We got to learn how to snowboard together! I am so thankful for her friendship and God is doing big things through her!

Homemade Tent with the Bro's:
Ohh the memories. Trevor and I got to bring Chet into our past when we introduced him to the sheet-tent the night before I left for Colorado this summer! Trevor and I would do this all the time when growing up.. we would find all the sheets and blankets in the house and use the kitchen clips to hook them together! (Except this time, we had to center the tent around ESPN)

Adventure Experiences Family:
Walking through life this summer (in one of the most beautiful places ever) was such a lived out dream! I will never forget the transitions we experienced together as a family this summer, while seeing God work in so many lives!!!! I love yall so much!

Declaration of Dependence Prayer:
We got this at Bethany Baptist this summer in Colorado, where we went to church on our weekends off. Daily it is a beautiful reminder in my life to abide in Christ and depend on Him with my every step. May this be a continual memory.
I hope it can speak millions to you as well.

So here is to my future and whatever memories God has planned.
What peace and joy we have through the Cross!!!!!
No matter what awaits, God has given me a mission here on this earth to live for him.. (feel free to hold me to this if you ever see me looking down)
LOVE YOU
-Kel

John 17:17 "Thy word is Truth"

11.04.2011

Don't Be a Strangled Grape!

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
-Romans 8:2
...Christ has set us free!

Today I will abide in this truth.

There is nothing like the feeling of letting go and opening my heart completely and saying.. "God I do trust you.. take my circumstances, take my life, and make it yours."
While this can be one of the hardest things to do when I so badly want to be in control.. I find that no matter what.. God works.. and that always turns out to be the best thing!!!!

2 Corinthians 1:20 says.. "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God."

So no matter what I feel like or no matter how I see things on this earth.. when I give God my life.. His answer is ALWAYS yes.
...If I am abiding in His word and truly living in this.. it will be right no matter what. (Even if I originally thought I had a better plan) living in God's word shows me that He is right all along and that is the absolute greatest place to be.
He is for us!!!

Sometimes answers to prayers don't come right away.. but oh man, that does not mean that Our Father does't hear. Perseverance and patience in the waiting process can be hard, but Our God does hear.. and He will answer in His time.

These truths came to life for me this week in a few different ways and how stinking cool it is.

AHHHH! And this week, I found out that I am doing my first half marathon EVER. So so so excited! I never win drawings or raffles.. but I won a free admission to the BCS Marathon on December 11th! How neat is that?! Whoop!
I feel very motivated right now!
Also, Thanksgiving feels like it is coming so soon and I am so excited! Can't wait to be together with you family!, and Trevor and I get to come to the game and that just adds so much happiness to it all!
Little brother Chet is a football rockstar, playing in his first ever playoff game this weekend! Oh yeah! This is us last weekend, isn't he just amazing?!

P.s- I love this cold weather, it feels like Christmas! Time for White Chocolate Peppermint Mochas, Elf, Fires, Cuddles, Jackets, Cold Runs, andddd lotsa more cold weather things!

Love you so much friends and family!
